Designed and assembled in the heart of the West Bottoms in Kansas City, crafted out of solid wood in Clinton, MO, the Relikcs Timbre Stereo Console is the perfect blend of mid-century charm, high end audio performance and heirloom quality craftsmanship.

Cabinet construction consists of solid-hardwood outer construction and base, finished in the Mid-Century finish technique featuring stain, vinyl sealer, toner, and lacquer coats. This is the very same technique that was used in the high quality production furniture from the 1950’s and 60’s.
Drawing inspiration from mid-century modern furniture as well as both German and American-made stereo consoles, the iconic curvature on the side panels bring a unique elegance that effortlessly elevates the room the console is in.

Starting with our first batch of only 10 consoles, driven by the desire to build something special for the few people who blindly believed in us and the project, the Founder’s Edition was born.
A custom Rosewood 72″ piece was commissioned by a high-end design firm out of California, allowing us to build two exquisitely finished Relikcs Timbre Stereo Consoles in high gloss rosewood.

The 72” Timbre stereo console is the perfect centerpiece for any living space, home theater, or lobby. Offering ample vinyl storage behind solid-wood tambour sliding doors, a removeable component shelf, additional storage drawer, and removeable solid-wood framed grills with a 99% acoustically transparent grill cloth.
Offered in two sizes, 72″ and 48″, all with the same standard equipment, including a high power solid state amplifier, high fidelity custom tuned speakers and a state-of-the-art hand-assembled, “Made in the USA” record player, packed with Spotify Connect, Apple Airplay, Bluetooth and an optical-in compatible with most TV’s.
The Timbre Stereo console stands out as a remarkable feat of sonic engineering demanding it be both heard and seen.

Solid woods, local craftsmanship, curated components.
- Using solid woods in every surface that’ll ever be touched keeps the Timbre structurally sound, easy to maintain and longer lasting than some of the best stereo consoles built.
- Every component we use is carefully picked, tested and calibrated to perform to outstanding standards.
- All of our speakers are tuned using a professional calibration microphone and computer software to determine the best performance and achieving our house curve – which is aimed to be as true to the source music as possible, offering a simple EQ for the end user to adjust to their personal liking.
Sustainability
Keeping our vendors and providers close, and our assembly closer.
- Always doing our best to keep our materials local, our consoles are pridefully built in Clinton, MO.
- Quality and performance are key, but it didn’t hurt that our favorite record player is hand made in the USA and then assembled into our custom plinth in our own facility.
- Custom everything is the name of the game. A lot of components that go into building a retro-feeling stereo like the Timbre are no longer made, therefore, naturally, had to be custom made. From the power switch and knobs to the wiring harness.
Customization

- The Timbre is offered in three wood species:
- Walnut
- Sapele
- White Oak
- And both in a 72″ and a 48″ width option. Both sizes offering the exact same components and performance.
- Offering a wide variety of speaker grill cloth options, all USA made and 99% acoustically transparent, our customers are spoiled for choice.
- Several upgrades are made available including a custom under-platter light that makes your turntable glow when in use, to presence sensing courtesy lights in the storage compartment(s).
- Cartridge and Styli upgrades from Ortofon. Our Timbre Stereo Console comes with the excellent Ortofon 2M Red, but we offer compelling prices for upgrading to the 2M Blue and even the exclusive Ortofon LVB.
